The Northborough Garden Club will meet on Tuesday, November 5 at 6:30 pm at the Northborough Library, 34 Main Street, Northborough.
The guest speaker is from the Frederick Law Olmsted Estate, who will discuss “Frederick Law Olmsted and the Massachusetts Legacy.” Olmsted was involved in the development of over 1,200 landscape architecture projects throughout Massachusetts, including public parks and private gardens. The parks and waterways, which began to be established in the late 1800’s by Olmsted, form a portion of Boston’s Emerald Necklace.
Attend and increase your understanding of how Olmsted’s vision for linking people and nature laid the foundation for modern conservancy.
Guest and friends are invited to attend with members. A donation of $2 is encouraged.
