An unsecured weapon in the home is a public health danger that leads to more frequent homicides, burglaries, accidental shootings, lethal domestic violence and suicides.
Local police departments will be participating in the 18th Annual Goods for Gun Buyback day on Saturday, December 14. Grocery gift cards will be given in exchange for unwanted/unsecured guns. No names or registration is required, but the gun must be unloaded and wrapped and contained in a bag.
Westborough Police Department hours will be 10 am – 2 pm and Northborough Police Department will be 9 am – 3 pm. Other department locations and times are listed on the flyer posted.
