The Friends of the Northborough Library, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has granted the 2022 Friends of the Northborough Library Service Award to three recipients: Taylor Hodge, Megan Tucker and Annie Zhou.
This award is given to a graduating high school senior in recognition of their outstanding service to the Northborough Library. The criterion for the award was an evaluation of their volunteer work for the Northborough Library or the Friends of the Library. Annie was a dedicated volunteer in the Children’s Room. Megan volunteered in the Teen Room and at the Friends’ Booksales. Taylor was a part of the Friends’ fundraising through book donations, as well a Teen Room volunteer.
Multiple awards were given this year due to the fact that several years of the award were skipped in the pandemic and in recognition of multiple worthy candidates.
Any library volunteer who is a graduating senior is eligible for the award. Possible volunteer opportunities include Friends of the Library Book Sales and other events; the Children’s Summer Reading Program; and involvement in TAG. To volunteer for a Book Sale, please email friendsoflibrary@Northboroughlibrary.org. To volunteer for the Children’s Summer Reading Program, stop in the Children’s Room.
The Friends of the Northborough Library, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing assistance both financial and volunteer to the Northborough Free Library. We accept donations of books and DVDs for our periodic book sales every Wednesday. We provide financial assistance to the library for the Summer Reading programs for children, teens and adults, and we fund many of the library museum passes.
