Youth relationship and sexual health education program

Trinity Church located at 23 Main Street will be hosting the Our Whole Lives (OWL) program for students in grades 7-9. OWL is a nationally recognized, secular, values-based program that emphasizes self-worth, sexual health, responsibility and justice & inclusivity. The program consists of a parent orientation and 13 sessions beginning on Sunday, November 3 from 4-7 pm and running through February 16 (no classes on 12/1 or 12/29). The cost for the class per student is $250. Online registration and additional information is available.

OWL affirms the role of parents as their children’s primary sexuality educators and provides holistic, accurate and developmentally appropriate information while using interactive workshops and lessons to engage participants.

This sexuality education program for youth models and teaches caring, compassion, respect, and justice that moves beyond the intellect to address the attitudes, values, and feelings that youth have about themselves and the world.

This class will help them to fine tune what their personal values are and how to have safe, healthy and happy relationships while giving them all the tools they need to be confident in their decisions and encourage open dialogue at home. It helps participants make informed and responsible decisions about their sexual health and behavior.
