The Northborough Free Library located at 34 Main Street continues with their Fall Music Series on Saturday, November 16 from 2-3:15 pm with Too Human.
Ellen Schwartz, Roger Bruno and bassist Keala Kaumeheiwa are known for their jazzy toe-tapping swing, and ballads.
Starting out as professional songwriters in Los Angeles, their songs have been covered by a broad spectrum of recording artists, including Cher, Pat Benatar, Teddy Pendergrass, Martha Davis (of the Motels), Anne Murray, Nancy Wilson and Ramsey Lewis. They left the corporate world and moved back east and now live in Western Mass. Ask them what kind of music they play, Roger and Ellen will answer: “Good music with a lot of heart.” Along with their bassist, this great jazz trio covers standards from the American Songbook, but with a fresh interpretation that brings new life to these classic songs. With vocals, guitar, percussion, and on occasion, upright bass, they have a jazzy, bluesy feel.
The Music Series is funded in part by the Friends of the Northborough Library. No registration is required. Refreshments will be served.
