Ways to spread community cheer and give a helping hand

It’s been three weeks since we have been in the social distancing mode, and the Northborough community continues to come together to support others during the COVID-19 crisis. Here are a few ways to help:

Notes and cards are needed:

  • Many hospital patients are not allowed visitors at this time and are lonely. Cheer them up with cards with generic greetings and words of encouragement. They can be mailed or dropped off to Diane Lindberg, 40 Maple Circle, Shrewsbury, MA 01545 or mailed to Pam Landine, 234 Highland Ave, Leominster, MA 01453.
  • Hospital staff at UMASS Memorial in Worcester could use some cheerful notes as well. Drop off your cards to Stephanie in the plastic bin on the front steps at 7 West Street in Westborough.

Sir Loin Catering‘s owner and head chef Geoff Kelly is providing over 1,200 freshly cooked meals a week for those in need in our community. This is only possible with community donations. Please donate if you can via Venmo @SirloinCatering or drop a check off to their kitchen at 369 W Main Street. The number of meals needed will increase over the next few weeks.
