The Northborough Southborough Special Education Parent Advisory Council (NSPAC) announced the recipients of its 10th Annual Go the Distance Awards. School staff members and members of the community were nominated by families to celebrate the positive impact they have made in the lives of special needs students.
An in-person recognition ceremony of the 29 recipients had to be cancelled due to the school closures. The recipients were notified of their awards on May 5 during Teacher Appreciation Week. A certificate and a copy of the nomination write up will be mailed to each recipient.
A quote from Jane Goodall summarizes the theme of this year’s awards. “Every individual matters. Every individual has a role to play. Every individual makes a difference.”
A list of those recognized can be found at the Go the Distance link at www.nspac.org. A short slideshow is also available on the website.
