Mark your calendars. It’s time to grab some extra food items the next time you do your grocery shopping.
The annual Scouting for Food event will be held on Saturday, November 14. Due to the pandemic, donations should be placed in plastic or paper bags at the end of your driveway before 9 am and a scout will be by to pick up and bring to the Northborough Food Pantry.
This year, more of our community members are facing food insecurities than ever before. Hunger, it’s a way of life for an increasing number of families, especially during these times. Many face hopeless decisions around paying for medicine, heat, or food. With kids in virtual classrooms, access to subsidized meals has become a widespread issue. Groups providing assistance struggle with increasing requests and shrinking resources. The Boy Scouts of America answer this call by collecting food and supporting community agencies that fight hunger.
Help provide food and hope to our neighbors.
