The Assabet Valley Mastersingers (AVM) is pleased to announce that two monetary awards totaling $1,500.00 will be given to two local graduating seniors who have shown the desire to participate in music as an important part of their college education.
The Assabet Valley Mastersingers Choral Scholar Award, in the amount of $500.00, will be awarded to an outstanding choral student who intends to continue participating in choral music ensembles in college.
The other award of $1,000.00 is the generous gift of the Flynn Family in memory of Lucille Flynn, a local music teacher
who delighted in igniting the passion of music in young children. The Lucille Alma Flynn Music Scholar Award is available to both choral and instrumental students who plan to Major or Minor in music instruction, choral studies or instrumental studies in college.
