Textiles, electronics, and yes, even Styrofoam are being collected during the Worcester County Environmental Community Agricultural Network (WECAN) Re-Claim It Drive Thru and Recycling event scheduled for Saturday, Sept., 25 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. The location of the event is Westborough High School, 90 West Main Street in Westborough and is open to all.
There is a small fee for electronic recycling ranging from $10-$40 based on the size of the item. Styrofoam will be collected for $10/per car and must be block foam with #6 that is white and clean and all stickers and tape should be removed. Packing peanuts will not be accepted. Donations are cash only.
Donated textiles will benefit the Westborough Girl Scouts, new and like new craft and office supplies will benefit The Great Exchange, and household items will benefit Fresh Start. In addition, Urban Missionaries will be collecting new Christmas gifts for babies-14 years old and unexpired canned food. Any furniture and building materials will assist Habitat for Humanity with its mission.

The event is hosted by WECAN, Zero Waste Westborough and the towns of Grafton, Northborough, Shrewsbury, and Westborough. Volunteers are also needed and can sign up online.
