Goodbye November! The Thanksgiving holiday break is over and students and staff prepare to dive into the winter months of learning, sports, and music performances. The School Committees and administration have started budget discussions and the Algonquin Regional High School (ARHS) new mascot process continues.
- The ARHS Mascot Renaming Study Group announced the top five new mascot names are Eagles, Falcons, Nor’Easters, Thunder, and Titans. These choices will be presented at an upcoming Regional School Committee Meeting for their approval, and if approved, then ultimately will be presented to students for a vote. Questions about the process can be emailed to MascotStudyGroup@nsboro.k12.ma.us.
- Congratulations to the Algonquin Football Team, who won the Thanksgiving Day game against Westborough, 49-0.
- Student lunches are still free for the remainder of the year. A la carte items or second meals still require payment at the time of purchase.
- Kindergarten Registration is scheduled for January 12-14., 2022.
- The 2022-2023 School Year calendar draft is available to review.
- The District COVID Dashboard is updated regularly and the schools continue to offer non-mandatory weekly testing, as well as the Test & Stay program geared to those who are considered a close contact and are unvaccinated.
