February children’s library programs announced

The Northborough Library Children’s Department has announced it’s programming for February 2022. The schedule has been modified since in-person events have been cancelled due to current COVID restrictions in place. Follow the Library on Facebook and Instagram. SPECIAL PROGRAMS

  • Black History Month Reading BINGO: February is Black History Month! Visit the library to pick up your copy of Here We Read’s Black History Month Picture Book Bingo, or download and print your own copy. Turn your completed BINGO card in by the end of the month for a small prize.
  • Cards for Kindness: Stop in anytime between February 7-12 to create a greeting card of your own design. All supplies will be provided. Cards will be delivered to area nursing homes to bring a little cheer. This event is in conjunction with Northborough’s Kindness Week.

SCHOOL VACATION WEEK FUN

  • Tuesday, February 22: Disney Trivia. Think you know Disney? Drop by the library to test your skills. Ask for a trivia sheet at the Children Department’s desk and complete the trivia using your knowledge of Disney. Turn the sheet in to the librarians and the “team” with the most points wins a small prize!
  • Wednesday, February 23: Star Wars Crafternoon. A take-home art project for older elementary-aged children. Stop by the library to grab your bag of supplies (while supplies last) and create a fun Star Wars themed project to jazz up your space.
  • Thursday, February 24: Disney Costume Day. Don your favorite Disney costume and visit the library. While you are there, you can complete a scavenger hunt, check out some Disney books, movies and music, and you might even run into Elsa!
  • Friday, February 25: Disney Minute to Win It. Drop in anytime to compete in several Disney-themed Minute to Win It challenges. Complete them all and win a small prize. Families are welcome!

SATURDAYS

  • Crafternoon Kits: Feb 5, 12, 19, 26, 9:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Drop by the library every Saturday to pick up the materials for a fun new art project. Crafternoon kits are available for pick up while supplies last on the designated dates.
