Town board and committee meetings are easy to access

Whether a novice or expert in following town board and committee meetings, here are a few that are scheduled this week. Meetings are currently being held remotely and can be accessed by a Zoom link included on the agenda and/or viewed on the Town of Northborough YouTube channel. Meetings are recorded so it makes it easy for you to stay informed and view at your convenience.

  • Tuesday, February 8: Youth Commission, 7 p.m. View the agenda. The Department of Youth and Family Services has been trying to recruit and hire a candidate for a part time counselor position since the fall of 2021. The Department is a busy one and its mission is to identify and respond to the town’s human service needs to enhance the quality of life for Northborough youth, families and individuals of all ages. They collaborate with many local organizations and it is with these community partnerships that they are able to enhance their ability to provide a range of social services.
  • Tuesday, February 8: Board of Health, 6 p.m. View the agenda. Up-to-date COVID information will be shared and the current town-wide mask mandate will be discussed and reviewed.
  • Tuesday, February 8: Library Trustees, 7 p.m. View the agenda. The Library Director’s report each month contains a lot of information about programming, challenges, and upcoming projects.
  • Thursday, February 10: Community Preservation Committee, 7 p.m.. View the agenda. A public hearing will continue as the Committee reviews CPA applications and makes recommendations for town meeting vote.
  • Friday, February 11: Cultural Council, 6:30 p.m. View the agenda. Hear the updates for the public art initiative Go Out Doors Northborough and plans for this year’s CultureFest.
  • Monday, February 14: Board of Selectmen, 7 p.m. (Agenda not yet available.)
