Neighborhood Support Team needs help to support Afghan refugee family in town

A group of Northborough residents formed the Neighborhood Support Team (NST) and is currently working with Ascentria Care Alliance to help an Afghan refugee family resettle in Northborough.

A single mother and her six-year old son have moved to town and the members of the NST is asking the community to support this family until they are self-sufficient. The goal is to raise $50,000. They are currently around 25% of meeting that goal.

Online monetary donations are tax deductible.

Donation suggestions include:

  • One month of rent: $1,300
  • One week of rent: $325
  • One month of utilities: $150
  • One month of gas/transportation: $75
  • One month of internet service: $50
  • One month of cell phone service: $40
  • One month of cleaning and toiletry products: $35
  • Clothing, shoes and incidentals: $60
  • One week of child care: $100

Checks can be made payable to Trinity Church with “Northboro NST” in the memo line and sent to Trinity Church, 23 Main Street, Northborough, MA 01532.
