Sustainable Northborough presents a Northborough resident’s journey to a Carbon Neutral Home: how it benefits the planet, the pocketbook and the electricity grid. The event will be held at the Northborough Library (34 Main Street) on Tuesday, June 14, 7-8:30 p.m.
Sustainable Northborough is a group of concerned citizens helping the community achieve net-zero emissions of greenhouse gases, consistent with the Commonwealth’s climate goals. They aim to
- study and provide information to residents about sustainable best practices
- support procurement of solar and wind power sources to heat buildings and charge vehicles
- collaborate with surrounding towns on regional decarbonization efforts
