Free Narcan training being offered

Narcan is the brand name of the generic naloxone and is a life-saving medication that can reverse an overdose from opioids – including heroin, fentanyl, and prescription medications – when given in time.

Free Narcan training will be offered on two dates in January.

The session will provide participants with a brief training on how to recognize an opioid overdose, when and how to use Narcan, and a free kit to take home. The kit includes:

  • 2 doses of Narcan
  • Fentanyl test strips with instructions
  • Face shield
  • Instructions on Narcan administration
  • Recovery resource guide

The training is provided by clinicians within the Greater Boroughs Partnership for Health.
