With summer temps coming soon, Northborough residents have two ways to cool down this summer.
The Northborough recreation splash pad located at Assabet Park (on the corner of South Street – Route 135 and Gale Street) opens on Saturday, June 16. The days and hours of operation will be Mon/Wed/Fri 12 pm -6 pm and Sat/Sun 10 am-4 pm. It will be closed Tues/Thurs. The splash pad is open to all and there is no charge.
The Lake Chauncy beach area will officially open for the season for Northborough and Westborough residents on weekends only for June 2-3 and June 9-10. It will open daily starting on Saturday, June 16 from 11 am – 6 pm. Details on the rules and policies of the beach can be found on the Northborough Recreation site.
Family beach season passes can be purchased for $80; individual beach season passes can be purchased for $35. There is a small fee per person that can be paid at the gate if you do not wish to purchase a season pass.
The beach will officially close on Sunday, August 12.
