Find the Cause Breast Cancer Foundation Assistant Executive Director Dru Lindgren will be presenting Asking Questions, Finding Answers, Preventing Breast Cancer at the Northborough Library, 34 Main Street on Tuesday, October 9, 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm.
A fact that always surprises people is that 90% of all those diagnosed with Breast Cancer have no family history of the disease. Why then is the breast cancer rate sky rocketing? Forty years ago, 1 in 24 women were diagnosed; today, it’s 1 in 8. It’s pretty clear that something in the environment is causing many people to get sick. But what and how? The Cause Breast Cancer Foundation was founded to fund research to answer these questions.
While there is still much work to be done in the fight for a safer world, there are ways that you can take control. By learning about toxins and how to avoid them, consumers can make smarter choices about what they put in and on their bodies. Find The Cause will educate on the science behind prevention, the very serious need for funding, and things that can be done every day lives to make changes that will have a healthy impact on you and your family.
Light beverages and snacks will be provided.
