The 2021 Northborough Applefest Committee has announced its events from Friday, September 17-Sunday, September 19. There is no parade this year, but plenty of activities and fun for all ages. A few events require registration or tickets.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 17
- 10:00 am Applefest Mr Bubble Show, Ellsworth McAfee Park Pavilion
- 10:00 am Applefest Dessert Bake-off, Northborough Senior Center, 119 Bearfoot Road
- 12 pm Applefest Senior Luncheon, Northborough Senior Center, 119 Bearfoot Road.
- 9:30 am – 5:00 pm Applefest Library Book Sale, Northborough Free Library, Main Street
- 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm, Applefest Gala at Juniper Hills Golf Course. Drinks and Dancing by Northborough Education Foundation
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 18
- 7:00 am –11:00 am Applefest Road Race, Sponsored by BC4T – Boros Cares 4 Troops. Melican Middle School. Registration at 8:00 am. Road Race at 9:30 am.
- 10:00 am –3:00 PM Applefest Farmers Market Town Common. Please no parking at Avidia Bank during business hours.
- 10:00 am–2:00 pm Applefest Bicycle Rodeo – Northborough Police Department, 211 Main Street and Baseball Parking Lots. Children 4 -6 Participate from 10:00 am – 12 noon; Children 7–11 Participate from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm.
- 9:00 am – 12:00 pm Applepie Café and Ice Cream Social. Northborough Junior Women’s Club and St. Bernadette Youth Ministry, St. Bernadette Church Hall. The Apple Pie Café runs from 9 am – 12 noon; the Ice Cream Social runs from 10 am – 2 pm.
- 10:00 am – 4:00 pm Applefest Street Fair sponsored by Rotary Club, Blake Street.
- 12:00 pm -3:00 pm – Applefest Train Rides & Lunch at Chet’s Diner, 191 Main Street. A trackless train going around the parking lot and serving hot dogs and hamburgers inside the diner.
- 10:00 am – 4:00 pm Trinity Church Family Fun Day, Trinity Church Parking Lot, Main Street. Featuring Crafters, Music – Open Mic and Food Served, Thrift Shop
- 10:00 am – 2:00 pm Northborough Fire Department Open House
- 11:00 am – 3:00 pm Dance Demo and Ice Cream Truck, 10 Main Street Parking Lot. Diane Cournoyer Dance Center and Ulhman’s Ice Cream. Dancing with Diane Cournoyer Dance Studio. Glitter Tattoos and Mermaid Hair throughout the day. Ice cream from Ulhmans Ice Cream Truck.
- 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm Art & Bloom at Historical Society, Historical Society Building, Main Street. Northborough Garden Club and Northborough Art Guild. Saturday and Sunday. The Museum will be open for tours
- 9:30 am – 4:00 pm Applefest Library Book Sale, Northborough Free Library, Main Street
- 12 pm – 3:00 pm, Story Art Sheryl’s Art Studio, 10 Main Street
- 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm Applefest Chicken BBQ American Legion Hall, 402 West Main Street. American Legion will be serving a freshly cooked meal of a 1/2 BBQ chicken, a fresh ear of locally grown corn and a baked potato.
- 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm Applefest BBQ and Fireworks, Algonquin Regional High School Fields. Concert with Hit the Bus, Robotics Show on Tennis Court (Algonquin Robotics Team), BBQ by Knights of Columbus, Pizza by Applefest Committee, Two Moonwalks, Cotton Candy Booth, Glow in Dark Sticks, Monkey Bridge by Scout Troop 1, Glitter Tattoos and Mermaid Hair and more.
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 19
- 7:00 am-11 am Applefest Pancake Breakfast, American Legion Hall, West Main Street.
- 11:00 am –2:00 pm Applefest Classic Car Show, Northboro Shopping Plaza, West Main St. Classic cars, food and music. Plus some of the businesses at Northboro Shopping Plaza will be having a side walk sale. This event is dependent on good weather conditions.
- 12:00 pm-4:00 pm Soular Jazz Festival at First Parish, 40 Church Street.
- 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm Northborough Art in Bloom, Historical Society, Main Street
- 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm, Story Art Sheryl’s Art Studio, 10 Main Street, Northborough
