Quiet weekend in town as we kick-start April vacation! No scheduled events. There were rumors of 80 degree days, but those seem to be dead and gone—replaced by forecasts for rain and (gulp) freezing rain. If you are not lucky enough to be getting out of dodge for the week, it’s a great time to play catch-up. Here are a few reminders:
Don’t Forget To:
- Sign up for Summer Camps! There are lots of great options right in town, including the weekly camps from Northborough Recreation, Algonquins All-Star Baseball Camps and the Summer Dance Program from Diane Cournoyer Dance Center.
- Get your tickets for NEF’s 6th Annual Mother-Daughter Princess Tea Party. Anna and Elsa will be the featured guests this year!
- Get your kids (or yourself) set up with a bank account at Central One Federal Credit Union. There are SO many wonderful advantages to banking local—including the fact that when you walk in, they will know your name!
- Get to know the candidates for town government. Elections are May 8th!
- Book your Spring Family Portrait Session or 2019 Senior Portrait Session with Susan Ogar Photography, before her slots are all filled!
- Clean out those closets—and bring any gently used, unwanted items to Next to New Resale Boutique. Proceeds from April sales will go to Habitat for Humanity!
- See our Grill Buying Guide, then swing by Brown’s TV & Appliance. Mention Northborough Guide and get a free grill cover when you purchase any grill over $599.
- Start to think about Mothers Day 2018, which is just around the corner! Book a special meal at Romaines for the day. And then plan your gifts! How about framing some of your family portraits? Or creating a beautiful piece of jewelry with your child’s thumbprint or name? Or maybe a pound or two of their favorite coffee? See our Mother’s Day Gift Giving Guide for lots more great ideas!
