It’s not often that a team receives a Northborough police escort from the I-290 Church Street exit ramp back to Algonquin Regional High School. It’s also not often that the school’s Boys Rugby team wins the MIAA Division 2 State Championship either!
The team faced Cambridge Rindge & Latin on June 30 in Cambridge at Russell Field, but play had to be postponed due to lightning until July 1. The team was victorious with the winning score of 31-14.
Congrats to the entire team – players, coaches, and families. Job well done and Northborough is proud of you.
