The Tiny Tomahawk Learning Lab Preschool at Algonquin Regional High School located at the high school at 79 Bartlett Street is now enrolling for the 2019-2020 school year.
The program has been in operation since 1978 and is run by a Family and Consumer Science Teacher with a Master’s in Early Childhood Education. High school students enrolled in the Early Childhood Development classes assist in the preschool and work under the instructor’s supervision in providing classroom instruction to the preschoolers. The high school students interact with the preschoolers and present many of the theme-based lessons.
The program has two 3-day sessions, a morning session and an afternoon session. Children must be at least 3 years old to attend and toilet trained.
Students are accepted on a first come, first serve basis on an open enrollment basis as long as there is space.
