Assabet Valley Mastersingers (AVM) will showcase a stirring array of American Folk Songs on Sunday, March 10 at St. Mark’s School, 25 Marlborough Rd. (Rte. 85), Southborough beginning at 3:30 p.m.
The program will include both sets of Aaron Copland’s Old American Songs; Gwyneth Walker’s River Songs, commissioned by AVM in 1996; and four compelling folk song arrangements by Mack Wilberg for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Southborough Community Fund, a fund of the Foundation for MetroWest.
St. Mark’s auditorium is accessible to the physically challenged; however, parking space is quite limited. There will be alternative parking at Woodward School, 28 Cordaville Road (Route 85) with a free shuttle service. Large print programs will be offered to those desiring enhanced readability.
