The Algonquin Regional High School’s Best Buddies club invites the local community to attend their third annual “Best Buddies Inclusion Coffeehouse” on Thursday, March 19 from 7-9 PM. This evening of music, dance, friendship, and fun will be held at the school auditorium located at 79 Bartlett Street.
ARHS Best Buddies will be celebrating Best Buddies Month as well as the “Spread the Word: Inclusion” movement through public performances that include students with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities. The ARHS community strives to encourage neurodiverse individuals to reach their full potential in all aspects of their lives including academics, arts, and athletics.
We at Best Buddies seek to promote the talents of all of our students, which is what the Inclusion Coffee House is all about.
“The Inclusion Coffeehouse recognizes the incredible, wide ranging talents of our members and gives a chance for all of them who love performing to take the stage for a night of celebration of the arts and friendship,” said advisor Caitlin Hynes.
The Coffeehouse is open to the public. Donations at the door or for refreshments will support the programs of the ARHS Best Buddies organization.
