Donations of books and media in good condition will be accepted at the Northborough Library located at 34 Main Street on Saturday, August 21, 9:30 – 11 a.m. from members of the Friends of the Northborough Library only. Donations from the general public will be accepted on Saturday, Sept. 11, from 2 – 3:30 PM, and all day on Monday, September 13 and Tuesday, September 14.

Please do not donate encyclopedias, textbooks older than five years, magazines, Reader’s Digest Condensed books, chewed upon baby books, or books in poor condition.

Please do not leave donations at the library at any other times as the librarians will discard them. For questions about the donations or to volunteer for the upcoming booksale, please email ellenchurch1@verizon.net.

Friends of the Library memberships benefit the library, are tax deductible and will allow access to the Member Preview of the sale.

The big Applefest Booksale will run from Thursday, September 16-Friday, September 17 from 9:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 18 from 9:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. The Member Preview will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 4-8 p.m.

Books and media for adults, kids and teens, including fiction, non-fiction, DVDs, CDs, large print, audiobooks, and a selection of special priced books and lots will be on sale.

The sale will be held in the Meeting Room. The decision to have a Bag Sale will be made the week prior to the sale and will rely on relevant CDC, state and local guidance to make a safe decision for our patrons, volunteers and staff.
