Cable Access Show highlights COVID-19 resources

Northborough Cable Access Television (NCAT) not only records Town committee and board meetings and provides the community with important town news, but the NCAT staff also produces a variety of shows for entertainment and educational purposes.

One of those shows is Frank and Mary in Northborough, hosted by Elder Law Attorney Arthur Bergeron. The topics covered are related to those that many senior citizens, such as the fictional Frank and Mary, may face.

Episodes in the past few weeks have been devoted to COVID-19 issues specifically to help keep senior citizens informed and provide resources during the crisis.

Director of Northborouth Free Library Chris Lindquist has been the guest co-host of episodes in recent weeks which feature the following topics and guests:

  • Director of Family Youth Services June David-Fors and the new Senior Center Director Liz Tretiak. View video. The Department of Family Youth Services can be reached at 508-393-5020 for counseling, referrals, resources or to inform them of someone who might need a check-in. The Senior Center can be reached at 508-393-5035. The two departments are a team to continue to serve people.
  • BayPath Elder Services Executive Director Christine Alessandro. View video.
  • Northborough Free Library Director Chris Linquist discussed services being provided through the closures. View video.
  • Northborough Fire Chief David Parenti. View video.

Although town buildings are closed, staff is still working behind the scenes and available to address resident concerns.

All episodes are available on the Northborough Cable You Tube channel and programming schedules for the local government, education and public channels can be found here.
