Christmas Eve Jingle to support UMass Children’s Medical Center

Christmas Eve Jingle to support UMass Children’s Medical Center

The second annual Christmas Eve Jingle is coming to town. Southborough resident Kelly Donfield organized the event last year amidst the pandemic to bring the community together and to bring the holiday spirit to children in the hospital. Donations will once again be collected to benefit the UMass Children’s Medical Center

Everyone who donates can pick up jingle bells (or use their own) to be rung outside from wherever you are for two minutes on Friday, December 24 at 7 p.m.

In 2020, almost $3,000 was raised for the hospital. This year’s goal is $5,000 and it’s only 25 percent there. Donations will be allocated to purchase New Xbox systems for patient rooms to help kids stay connected with friends and family while they are in the hospital. Donations will also help to enhance the hospital’s music therapy and canine therapy programs.

Make your donation online. Checks made payable to UMass Children’s Medical Center can also be left at two locations: 43 Ridge Road, Northborough (bin by the front door) or 7 Old Harry Road, Southborough (bin by the basketball hoop at the top of the driveway). Jingle bells can be picked up at either of these addresses no later than Thursday, December 23 or while supplies last.
