Community Preservation grant applications being accepted

The Northborough Community Preservation Committee (CPC)is now accepting applications for eligible Community Preservation Act (CPA) funding proposals in accordance with the requirements described in the CPA legislation:

  • The acquisition, creation, and preservation of open space.
  • The acquisition, preservation, rehabilitation, and restoration of historic resources.
  • The acquisition, creation, and preservation of land for recreational use.
  • The acquisition, creation, preservation, and support of community housing.
  • The rehabilitation and restoration of open space, land for recreational use, and community housing that is acquired or created using monies from the fund.

View application information and form. The deadline to submit a grant application is Thursday, November 4 at 12 p.m.

Some projects that were granted funding through the CPC in the past include the renovation of Assabet Park Playground, the upcoming pickleball courts at Ellsworth McAfee Park. vegetation management at town ponds, field lighting at Melican Middle School, payment associated with the purchase of White Cliffs, updating Peaslee School playground, town trail development, renovations for Northborough Library, and signage for historical sites.
