April 3rd will feature Fiona Ellis. Marrying her knowledge of both knitting and yoga, Fiona has been exploring how we might bring the practice of mediation to our knitting practice. In addition to the mind-calming aspect, Fiona believes that cultivating an awareness of what is happening on our needles helps us become better, more intuitive knitters. Developing the ability to read our work can make it a more enjoyable practise. Join Fiona for this Chat when she will discuss knitting as a moving meditation and lead us through a few mindful knitting exercises.

The April 24th Fiberside chat will feature Vivial Hoxbro. Little did Vivian know when she learned to knit before going to school that it would bring her to an entire career as a designer, author and teacher. Her numerous books span her research of Danish knitting heritage to her latest release, Vivian Hoxbro’s Knitting Handbook. Vivian’s favorite thing to do is knitting and playing with techniques. She hates to cast on 300 stitches and just knit upwards so Modular knitting is her thing!
