Donation drive for Healing Heart Hospitality House on Feb. 6
Verity Opportunities showcases and supports the efforts of Massachusetts nonprofits through community-engaging events and a simple, accessible website. Its mission is to create opportunities for the community to find and contribute to the good that is being done in Massachusetts. They promote unity and dedication to improve communities.
Verity’s co-founder and social media manager and Algonquin Regional High School junior Jakob Zhang is assisting in a donation drive to benefit Healing Heart Hospitality House based in Worcester. The nonprofit organization established in 2007 provides vital services to families whose loved ones are hospitalized or facing life-threatening conditions.
Donations by the general public can be dropped off at Ellsworth McAfee Park on Saturday, Feb. 6 from 1-4 pm (weather permitting). Items needed include hand sanitizer, wipes and sprays; laundry detergent and bleach; toilet paper and paper towels.
If you have a student attending the high school, items can be brought to the drop off box located in the rotunda through Friday, Feb. 12.
