- NEW YEAR’S BRUNCH, Wednesday, January 4 at 11:30 a.m. Welcome 2023 with a special New Year’s Brunch and music by George Curtis. The menu includes Fresh Fruit and Pastry, Scrambled Egg, Bacon, Pancakes, Home Fries, Coffee, Tea, and Water. Cost: $12 and tickets are required. Reserve your ticket by calling 508-393-5035. - STRATEGIES FOR IMPROVING YOUR DIET AND HEALTH, Tuesday, January 17 at 5 p.m. Join Dr. Mariana Calle, Ph. D, MS, RD for this important presentation on improving your diet and health in the new year. Dr. Calle will talk about the two food groups that have a positive impact on your health, the negative effects of added sugars in food and specific strategies for incorporating more fruits, vegetables, and “superfoods” into your diet. Dr. Calle has specific expertise in working with diabetic patients. This unique wellness program is part of Northborough’s Be Well Initiative. This program is brought to you with federal American Rescue Plan Act funds provided by the Town of Northborough and administered by the Northborough Working Group. A Light Dinner will be Served. - PREVENTING FALLS, Wednesday, January 18 at 11 a.m. Join Harout Jorekjian PT DPT MBA for a presentation on Falls Prevention. Harout is the Rehab Program Director at the Salmon VNA and Hospice. He will discuss factors that can lead to falls, as well as tips on staying safe in your home and in unfamiliar environments.
