The Northborough Free Library will be offering a free Zoom program on Tuesday, August 17 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. with local Attorney, Abra Allexenberg.
COVID hit special education especially hard and we’re still recovering. Whether you’re a parent new to the world of special education or an experienced parent, this presentation should help you prepare for the coming school year. Attorney Abra Allexenberg will be discussing what to do if you suspect your child may be struggling at school due to diagnosed or undiagnosed disabilities. She will also be discussing the State’s COVID updates for returning to school, COVID compensatory education, “how tos”, and getting your ducks in a row for the fall.
Attorney Abra C. Allexenberg of Allexenberg Law represents parents and guardians of children with disabilities in education matters throughout Massachusetts. She also handles cases, pro bono, for the Community Legal Aid Office in Worcester and for the Massachusetts Advocates for Children in Boston. Attorney Allexenberg received her BS from Lesley College in Human Services with a Specialization in Early Intervention. She later earned her JD from New England School of Law while working full-time at the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Although Attorney Allexenberg started her legal career in General Practice, she has found her way back to her passion in working with children.
