Executive Director of Decoding Dyslexia – Massachusetts Nancy Duggan will be presenting a Reading Goals Workshop: A Clear and Structured Process for Effective Reading Goals on Saturday, April 13, 1-3 p.m. at the  Northborough Library located at 34 Main Street. This event was rescheduled from March 2 due to snow.

RSVP to nspac1@gmail.com.

You will learn what you need to know about the science of reading, understand how to apply the correct data for making Individualized Education Program (IEP) decisions, know if the instruction your child is receiving is targeting the needs of your child, and know if your child’s instruction is meeting the standards of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) law. Parents are encouraged to bring copies of student evaluations and IEPs.

Please note that the library parking lot tends to fill up quickly when there are large programs scheduled. If the library lot is full, there is a municipal lot on the corner of Hudson and Pierce Streets that serves as the overflow lot. Also the Town Hall (63 Main Street) lot is available as it is not during business hours. Parking is not allowed on the street on Patty Lane or in any of the lots of any of the privately owned businesses and apartments near the library. Police will take notice and issue tickets if needed.
