The Northborough Garden Club is holding a memorial garden dedication on Sunday, October 14 from 1-2 pm.
As you are driving through the center of Northborough at the intersection of Routes 20 and 135, do you ever wonder who planted and maintains the garden at The Old Town Hall?
In 2015, the Northborough Garden Club adopted this garden with the blessing of the Town. Several members of the Garden Club left a memorial contribution to the Club. The idea was born to convert this area to a Memorial Garden honoring deceased members of the Club in recognition of their contributions to the community and the Club. With the assistance of Northborough Department of Public Works and the hard work of club members, the area has been transformed to a green space providing a moment of peace for onlookers as they await the changing of the traffic light.
Sunday, October 14 at 1 pm, the Club will be holding the dedication of the Memorial Garden at 4 West Main Street. Townspeople are invited to join the gathering to include family, Garden Club members and Selectmen. A few remarks will be offered and refreshments will follow.
A special thank you to Rocky’s Ace Hardware of Northborough who supplied mums for the fall planting, and the Northborough DPW who assists on a continual basis with mulching.
