On April 8, 1868, the Trustees of the Northborough Free Library convened for the first time. Help us celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the first Northborough Free Library trustee meeting with an afternoon of performances, games, special guests, and birthday cake.

For adults, local actor Stephen Collins will perform a reenactment of Walt Whitman’s life. Former library director Jean Langley will offer a guided tour the Gale Library Building and share interesting stories from our history.

The Children’s Staff and the Teen Advisory Group will be playing traditional games from the 1860s from 2-3pm. Please register your children online.

Every attendee will be entered for a chance to win the door prize–a “Library in a Basket” filled with books, museum passes, and more! You will also receive a free book at the end of the party, courtesy of the Friends of the Library. And, of course, there will be cake!

No RSVP required. We hope you can join us!
