No school in Northborough due to a professional development day on Monday, March 11 (Proctor School is making up their mold days but can join in after school). It’s a great time to get the kids out and about and get them roller skating.

The Lincoln Street School (LSS) 5th Grade Parent Committee is hosting Roll for Kindness at Roller Kingdom located at 5 Highland Park Avenue, Hudson from 1-4 p.m.

This event is open to all students from all schools. Admission includes pizza lunch, skate rental, skating for three hours, karaoke and more. Come for an hour or stay for all three!

Pre-purchase tickets for $15.00 per person (please note there is a $1.00 fee to purchase online); tickets will be $20.00 per person at the door. Admission does not include the arcade and this is not a drop off event.

Proceeds from this event will benefit LSS 5th grade activities and the charity they’ve selected to support this year given their class theme of Kindness, On-Belay, which builds community among youth who have a family member that has been touched by cancer using adventure based programs that encourage participants to uncover their inner resilience. Through the support of being “On-Belay”, participants are given a chance to connect with other children facing similar challenges, while learning to support others, ask for help and develop confidence.

The LSS 5th Grade Parent Committee is a small group of parents who volunteer, along with the support of the LSS PTO, to help coordinate fifth grade efforts at LSS to help students have a fun final year of elementary school. The class adopted the theme of Kindness, which has guided activities throughout the year including the yearbook design and charity support.
