The community is encouraged to keep collecting textiles and using the bins at each of the schools, but for now the challenge has been postponed.
Today is the kick off to the 2020 Northborough-Southborough Textile Recycling Challenge scheduled for March 30-April 3! All Northborough Elementary Schools and Melican Middle School will be participating this year.
It’s not too early to start textile collecting now to help your neighborhood school meet its goal.
Additional information will be announced through individual schools, but the Northborough community is invited to participate as well. Each school has a textile collection bin in the parking lot. Textiles are collected year round and serve as a fundraiser for each school. The challenge week highlights the collection and the importance of recycling.
Below is the list of items that can be recycled in any condition as long as it is not moldy or wet. Items must be secured in a plastic bag. If the bin is full, do not leave bags outside of the bin. Either walk them into the school and let the staff know or contact jeanettemorgan@nsboro.k12.ma.us.
Only items collected during the March 30-April 3 will count towards the challenge.
