This event was originally scheduled for October 17 but rescheduled to Saturday, November 7.
The Algonquin Regional High School Best Buddies club is co-hosting a socially distant drive-in movie night on Saturday, October 17 starting at 6:30 pm. The featured movie will be Night at the Museum. Pre-registration is required. Suggested payment will be $25 and accepted by credit or debit card only the night of the event to benefit the Best Buddies Friendship Walk.
A few protocols that will be enforced:
- Non-household groups (such as groups of students in a single vehicle) will NOT be allowed to attend, per the mandate of the Northborough Board of Health and the Northborough Southborough Public Schools. Families from Northborough, Southborough, Westborough, Shrewsbury, Leominster, Holden, Paxton, Princeton, Rutland, and Sterling are welcome. This was determined by alignment with the districts’ athletic pod for high school sports.
- Tailgating outside the vehicle will not be permitted: all attendees must stay in the vehicles except to go to the restroom, which will be available inside the school.
- Anyone leaving the vehicle to use the restrooms must wear a facemask covering their nose and mouth.
- Vehicles should arrive between 6:00-6:30 pm. The start of the movie is estimated to be 6:45 pm.
- There is no raindate. Emails will be sent to everyone who pre-registers if adverse weather makes it necessary to cancel the event.
- If a family will be arriving in separate vehicles, please complete a registration for each vehicle.
