Eleven year old Patrick Susanin knows how much veterans give to our country and wanted to give back to them this holiday season. He is collecting unwrapped, new gift items and gift cards through Sunday, December 8. Donations will benefit Veterans Inc, which have clients throughout New England.
Items can be dropped off to the bin by the garage at 38 Longfellow Road.
Holiday cards with a note are also a great way to contribute to this effort.
The goal of the effort is to brighten the holidays for 300 men and 50 women. Items needed include:
- New men and women’s apparel: packages of underwear, undershirts, white socks, button-down shirts, sweaters/sweatshirts, New England sports apparel, jeans, gloves, hats, scarves.
- Gift cards/certificates: Visa gift cards, Target, Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants or fast food locations, gas cards, movie passes, sporting event tickets, museums, concert tickets
