First Annual Jack-O-Lantern Stroll

First Annual Jack-O-Lantern Stroll

The Northborough Community Affairs Committee is pleased to announce their First Annual Jack-O-Lantern Stroll! Jack-o-lanterns will be on display at the Northborough Town Common over Halloween weekend (Friday, October 30-Sunday, November 1) for all to enjoy and the community will be asked to cast their top three votes.

A few weeks ago residents were asked to sign-up to participate and the 50 slots were taken in a matter of hours. Registrants were asked to make a suggested donation of $5 to the Northborough Food Pantry to participate. These entries will be lit the evening of Friday, October 30 and stay lit through the weekend. The display will be visible from the street when driving by, or stroll through the common.

The Northborough Community Affairs Committee will post pictures on their website of the jack-o-lanterns and you will be able to vote for your 3 favorite entries. We will have three winners who will each receive a prize from one of these three local businesses  – MOOYAH, Tougas Family Farm and Beyond Nutrition. The voting will open on Saturday, October 31 and close on Sunday, November 1.

The Committee would like to make sure this fun event is safe so be sure to wear your mask and stay 6 feet apart when viewing the display and/or dropping off your pumpkin.
