The Fourth Annual “Friends of Jay Dion Memorial Golf Classic” will be held on Thursday, September 16 from 7:30 a.m.-8 p.m. The event will remember and honor the life of Jay Dion, who passed away unexpectedly in 2016 at the age of 52 due to a rare and aggressive form of cancer known as NUT-midline carcinoma. (This is a rescheduled date from Sept. 2.)
All Proceeds from the event will benefit the Jay Dion Scholarship Fund, the Jimmy Fund and Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
Proceeds from golf registrations, sponsorships, dinner, golf course activities and donations will be donated directly to the the Jimmy Fund for NUT Carcinoma Cancer Research.
Proceeds from the live and silent auctions will benefit the Jay Dion Memorial Scholarship Fund. A scholarship is given to deserving students from Algonquin Regional High School and Southbridge High School.
Boston Scientific is once again the host sponsor of the event.
