The Northborough Garden Club will be holding it’s first meeting of 2019 on Tuesday, February 5 at 6:30 p.m. at the Northborough Library, 34 Main Street.
President of the Worcester County Beekeeper’s Association Kathy deGraaf will be speaking on the environmental threats facing honeybees and other pollinators. The source of the challenges, as well as garden plants which can help them to survive, will be discussed.
Kathy has been keeping bees in her own yard for 12 years and currently maintains six hives. The bees are able to avail themselves of the pollen from many wildflowers in the area and from flowers in her own garden.
Guests are welcome to attend.
