Help purchase large print children’s books

Ten year old Madisyn Lathrop loves to read and she is on a mission to fundraise to bring large print children’s books to the Northborough Library.

Madisyn is 10 years old and has a visual impairment requiring large print.  As she got older and moved on to chapter books, she found the print to be small, and in order for her to read a book, she would need to use a computer or have someone read the book to her.

“This made me feel different and sad because I wanted to be able to go to the library and choose a book to read just like any other kid my age,” she said.

Madisyn has partnered with the library to raise funds to create a youth section of large print books to help kids like her feel less excluded.

Please consider donating as every dollar counts. Donations can be made directly to the children’s room at the Northborough Library located at 34 Main Street.
