Helping Hands made spirits bright for 120 households

The Northborough Helping Hands Association (NHHA) brightened the holidays of 120 local households this year. Donations of Thanksgiving dinner fixings for 62 families and 58 senior citizen households, as well as holiday gift cards for 137 children were made possible due to the generosity of the community. A drive-by distribution day was held on November 20 at the Northborough Senior Center, where NHHA elves were on hand to ensure a smooth process.

Each year, local organizations collect or donate an item, which becomes a part of a holiday meal for families in need. Individuals donate a holiday gift card for a child or make an online donation to support the effort.

The following organizations supported the successful efforts of NHHA’s holiday program.

  • Church of Nativity
  • St. Bernadette Parish and School
  • St. Marks School
  • St. Rose of Lima Parish
  • Trinity Church
  • Fallon Heath
