Although some days may seem like every other day lately, here are a few things to note on your calendar:
- For the most up-to-date information from the Commonwealth of MA regarding the Coronavirus, please text COVID19 to 888777. You will be asked for your zip code so you can be alerted to any area specific information. Or view the website.
- The due date for filing your 2019 federal income tax return is now July 15, 2020.
- The Massachusetts RMV has limited service centers open, including Worcester. No road tests will be scheduled currently through Monday, April 6. A 60-day extension on most expired driver’s licenses, IDs and learner permits has been granted for those with expiration dates between March 1-April 30.
- If your vehicle inspection sticker expires March 31, 2020, you now have until May 31, 2020 to have it done; inspections due by April 30, 2020, now need to be done by June 30, 2020.
- The US Census 2020 information has been mailed to you. It’s easy to complete online or by phone. Your response is important to your local community and your country. By law, your response is required. Your answers are confidential and the results from the Census will be used to direct federal funds to local communities, schools, roads, and other public services; help communities prepare to meet transportation and emergency readiness needs; and determine the number of seats each state has in the U.S. House of Representatives and your political representation at all levels of government.
