The Ski Ward Race Team (SWRT) is a family-oriented recreational racing program for ages 5-18, offering kids of all levels and abilities a great opportunity to improve their skiing, meet new friends, and compete in the Eastern Mass Buddy Werner League of Alpine ski racing.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The mission of the SWRT is to encourage the joys of skiing and the life-long lessons of healthy competition and sportsmanship. The team achieves its mission by providing thoughtful and professional ski and race instruction through its experienced coaches.
SWRT races out of Ski Ward Ski Area in Shrewsbury, MA, and competes in slalom and giant slalom races against various teams across Eastern and Central Massachusetts. Most practices are Friday nights at Ski Ward, beginning in December. Races are Sunday mornings at Ski Ward, Nashoba Valley, Bradford, and Blue Hills ski areas. Races begin the second Sunday in January, and conclude with a Championship race the first Sunday in March.
