Kindness and love go together and it’s easy to show a display of this with beautiful flowers. During Victorian times, when thoughts were often revealed through flowers, bouquets or single stems made conversations between acquaintances much easier since the meaning of each flower conveyed a hidden message. In those Victorian times, bluebells represented kindness, care and warmth. When added to a bouquet of white daisies, an additional message of hope was sent to the recipient. Today we all enjoy the unspoken love that comes with every act of kindness and with every flower given to us.
The Northborough Garden Club will be collecting canned goods to be donated to the Food Bank on Saturday, February 5 (rain date Sunday, February 6) at the Pavilion at the Ellsworth McAfee Park from 11:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. Since we are unable to give fresh from our gardens at this time of year, we hope this little act of kindness will help those in need. Please join us by bringing your canned veggie donations to the park and together we can spread some kindness, care and love.
