It may be quickly approaching the last day of school this academic year, but Northborough Helping Hands Association is kicking off its 12th Annual Backpack Drive to benefit students in need in the Northborough Public Schools grades K-12 for the 2019-2020 school year. Students will receive new backpacks and grade appropriate school supplies.
In 2018, 86 backpacks were donated and the need continues to rise, as does expenses for a successful effort.
Donations are being accepted online and the fundraising goal this year is $3,000. Sponsor a middle school or high school backpack for $50 or an elementary school backpack for $35. Donations in any amount are greatly appreciated by May 31, 2019.
NHHA is a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer run organization whose mission is to coordinate programs to assist those in need in the form of Thanksgiving food baskets, Christmas gifts, clothing, medical equipment, and emergency aid for special services. Your donations are tax deductible to the extent provided by law.
