Library Book Sale Seeks Donations

The Friends of the Northborough Library will be holding it’s Annual Applefest Booksale on Saturday, September 26th from 9:30 AM – 4 PM. The event will be outside, on the front lawn of the Northborough Library, 34 Main Street, in a rigorously controlled outdoor “room” with a limited number of people at a time. Masks required, hand sanitizer provided.

While they have some books, they are looking for new book donations. However, they can only accept a few donations, since they are working with limited volunteers. Book donations can only be accepted from members of the Friends of the Northborough Library in good standing. Please renew your membership by clicking on this link. Membership is $20/per person or family and $10 for seniors.

Donations of books in good condition will be accepted on Sunday, Aug 23 11-1 AM, and on a second date in September TBD at the Northborough Library parking lot. Please package all books in cardboard boxes not larger than a paper ream box. You will be expected to load the boxes into the back of a pickup truck yourself. There will be a list of paid-up members at the book donation event, but you can join on the spot if you want to donate your books.

As always, they will accept donations of books in good condition. Please do not donate encyclopedias, textbooks older than 5 years, magazines, Reader’s Digest Condensed books, chewed upon baby books, or books in poor condition. Please do not leave donations at the library; the librarians will discard them. For questions about the Booksale, donations, or to volunteer for the sale, please contact Ellen Church.
