‘Tis the season for the annual Light Up Northborough event to be hosted by the Northborough Community Affairs Committee on Saturday, December 4 at 4:30 p.m. Countdown to the tree lighting and witness and celebrate the first Menorah to be lit in Northborough. It all happens downtown on the corner of Blake Street/Main Street.
The annual tree lighting began in 1968 in honor of the memory of Neil Ellsworth, an Army private first class, who was killed in Vietnam in 1967 at the age of 19.
Listen to music of the season provided by Women of Note, the Northborough Community Chorus and the Northborough Elementary Student Chorus.
Hot cocoa and cookies will be provided by Metrowest Painting. Pizza will be provided by Northboro House of Pizza and monetary donations will benefit the Northborough Food Pantry.
New, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots will also be accepted.
The event will be the grand finale of the local events to Kick off the Holidays and don’t forget to bring your stamped Great Northborough Snowman Hunt passport to receive a prize.
